CAT parents are crucial partners both in swimmers’ development and in the successful operation of our team.

Communication
We strive to keep our parents informed and educated. Communication between coaches and parents is essential to young swimmers’ development. Please be sure to update your Active profiles to include the e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers of both parents. If you have teenage swimmers, their e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers should also be included on Active in order to make sure everyone stays informed.

E-mail is the best method of communication with your coach and even more so now that we are dealing with new COVID-19 protocols. E-mail is the prefered method of communication. If you would like to schedule a phone or video session, it is recommended that you reach out and schedule one via e-mail first.

Volunteering
We rely on parent volunteers to serve in key support roles throughout the season; to serve as timers at meets; and to make our two CAT-hosted meets possible through numerous volunteer opportunities. These volunteer opportunities are a required commitment in order to be part of the team. We couldn’t do it without you! Practices, Pools and Parking
In order to keep our swimmers safe and our practices running smoothly, parents should be aware of procedures for building entry, parking, drop off/pick-up, and attending practice. Follow this link for information on building entry, parking, drop off/pick-up, and parents during practice.

Fundraising
The profits cleared from hosted meets, sale of specialized Cougar clothing and other fundraisers like the Swim-A-Thon go into a general fundraising account to support the team. Follow this link for more information on fundraising.
